V-Day stages large-scale benefits and promotes innovative gatherings, films, and programs (“Until The Violence Stops,” The Afghan Women's Summit, The Stop Rape Contest, Indian Country Project, and more) to change social attitudes towards violence against women.

In 2007, V-Day took place in over 1100 venues around the world, with over 2300 performances reaching over 600,000 audience members.  In 2008, Phoenix, AZ will be one of thousands of events around the world channeling their creative energy into making a difference as part of the V-Day Campaign.  It is our intention to make V-Day 2008 in Phoenix a huge success.  This will be possible, in large part, through the assistance and generosity of sponsors. Part of what makes this event so special is the opportunities it offers to businesses in local communities - to participate in this global movement, to celebrate and honor the women and girls in your life and community, to be part of a collective voice, a voice that refuses to be ignored, a voice that says NO to violence against women and girls. 

All of the net profits from our event will be donated to local organizations that advocate against domestic violence.
